SADR 2010

South Asia Disaster Report 2010: Changing climates, impeding risks, emerging perspectives is the 3rd SADR by Duryog Nivaran (DN). The report attempts to explore the added dimension that climate change brings to addressing Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) across the region, which will have direct implications sin the current development and DRR initiatives and thus tries to unveil the specific recommendations for practitioners and policy makers



Malala-Embilikala 2009

The Malal-Embilikala Lagoon system comprises of 2 water bodies: Malala and Embilikala connecting each other through a natural narrow canal and is located in the Bundala Ramsar Wetland. In 1991, Bundala was declared as a Ramsar site, which contains 6,210 ha and is the largest Ramsar wetland out of the 3 Ramsar wetlands in Sri Lanka.



SADR 2008

The 2008 South Asia Disaster Report is an analysis of the status of incorporation of disaster risk reduction status in South Asia. This issue, the second such report produces Duryog Nivaran (DN), is about the sensitivity of development in South Asia towards disasters.
