Rain Water Harvesting

Is it possible to build a Rain Water Harvesting Tank in a public place in our village?

It is quite possible to build a rain water harvesting tank in a public place. However, there are certain factors to be taken into consideration when establishing this type of facility in a public place.

When rain water harvesting facilities are built in household compounds its water is used by certain known number of occupants. In contrast, it is not only quite uncertain the number of people using water in a public place but also their requirements too cannot be determined. The rapid depletion of the water content in the tank is inevitable. If you can make the users aware of the efficient use of scares public resources, construction of rain water harvesting tank at a public place may be quite possible.
